Understanding where things happen helps us better understand our environment and address the societal challenges, including climate change, disaster management, public health, trade and economic development, and natural resources management.
Canada’s spatial data infrastructure, known as the Canadian Geospatial Data Infrastructure (CGDI), consists of geospatial data itself and the system of standards, policies, applications, and governance that enable its access, sharing, use, integration, and preservation for various purposes.
